Proposal for Increasing Regional Participation in Water Production

Occasionally, I have the opportunity to use my training as a science writer for furthering political discussions. I was the primary author of a Des Moines Water Works white paper that condenses a plan developed over two years of regional negotiations. It is a challenge to draft a concise document that explains something complicated while providing fuel for further discussion. Time will tell if this document achieved those goals.
